Biggest Difference between thermography and mammography: function vs structure.

Thermography: visualizing body in performance mode; looking for heat coming off body unusually; detecting the possibility of cancer now or in future.

Mammography: looks at make up of breast; looks for calcium deposits & density changes; detecting cancer already present.

Thermography
Thermography can detect abnormalities from 8 to 10 years before mammography can detect a mass.

Breast thermography plays an unprecedented role in breast cancer prevention due to it's ability to detect increased estrogen activity in the breasts.

Breast cancers in younger women are usually more aggressive and have poorer survival rates. Mammography is difficult to interpret for pre-menopausal women due to the density of the breast.
